-When did fine become a cry for help?

How many times do we get to use this word and hope it’ll manifest itself for the aches to stop, the anxiety to melt away or for things to be mediocre at best? there are so many words to use “content” “present” or “struggling” “passable” or even “I’m not sure how I am but I want to feel good today”

How can we be honest or expect honesty if we suppress the full spectrum of our emotional state?
